LSU Student Employee of the Year 2013 - Candace Elenez

BATON ROUGE - The LSU Office of Enrollment Management recently awarded Candace Elenez, a student worker at LSU's University College, the 2013 LSU Student Employee of the Year award. Elenez was nominated by Paul Ivey, executive director of LSU University College.

LSU Student Employee of the Year is awarded annually to a student worker across all disciplines and unites the LSU campus. Each unit or department is able and encouraged to submit excellent student workers who embody a strong work ethic and have made a significant impact in their work role.

Elenez is a native of Garland, Texas and is the daughter of Emiliano "Buddy" and Becky Elenez. She is a senior majoring in interdisciplinary studies, with minors in business administration, entrepreneurship and fine arts. She is the treasurer for LSU's Sigma Phi Lambda chapter, as well as the campus representative for Kids Across America Kamps and AFTERdark Ministries.

2013 Cowboys Classic

Here we geaux again! LSU will play TCU in the 2013 Cowboys Classic !! The game is scheduled for Saturday August 31, 2013 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX. Once again, our chapter will play host to the biggest and best tailgate party before the game. We are starting to make plans, and thank goodness we've been given almost a year's notice (instead of a few months). This tailgate will blow the other one OUT OF THE WATER !! Stay informed ... Be sure to sign up for our newsletters (look for RECEIVE OUR NEWSLETTER along the right-hand column). Better yet, join our chapter. You do not have to be local or an alum to join us.
