Happy New Year

Happy Safe New Year and less than 48 hours to kickoff! May 2010 be your best year ever. And to start off the '10s, plan to shake off the cob webs of the 0h-0h decade and join us for our Bloody Mary Bars at both Fox & Hound as well as Sherlock's as we get ready for the 10th victory of the 2009 season and the 1st in the new decade.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and a Bowlin' we will Geaux! And where better than the premier bowl sponsored by one of our premium sponsors- Capital One Bank. New Year's Day at noon will pit our LSU Tigers against the Penn State Nittany Lions in a rematch of our last meeting 36 years ago in the Orange Bowl. For those of you who weren't around at that time, our Tigers, led by All American Bert Jones, finally succumbed to the brute size of Penn State, led by Heisman Trophy winner John Cappelletti, to the tune of 16-9. This marks the 41st appearance in a year end bowl for LSU and the 10th year in a row (9th longest bowl streak in the nation.)

SEC Championship Game

With the SEC Champion to go to the National Championship game, our fellow SEC teams will duke it out this Saturday in the SEC Championship Game between Alabama and Florida. The DFW SEC Fans will be sheering on Alabama and Florida at Jerseyville Restaurant on Saturday 12/5 at 3:00PM. Jerseyville is located at Willow Bend Mall in West Plano, just outside the Food Court entrance.

Happy Thanksgiving! On behalf of our Dallas chapter, we want to extend our wishes for a blessed Thanksgiving for all of our fans and alums alike. For those of you leaving the area this week to join family and friends, have a safe journey wherever you may be headed and relish the blessings that we have been afforded throughout the years. We still live in the greatest democracy on Earth and have been given more liberties and freedom thanks to the sacrifices of many.

Membership Update - 11/12/09

Kickoff for the Homecoming Game vs. LA Tech is set for 6 PM Saturday Night! And what a better way to celebrate the 100th Homecoming in LSU history than to attend our watch parties at Fox & Hound and Sherlock's. Thanks to all of you who supported us last Saturday as that was the largest afternoon turnout for an LSU game at our watch party locations in several years. Your attendance has been gratifying and we are three wins away from a major Jan. bowl in '10. Let's give our team the same percentage support as they have given effort on the field this year- 100%.
