2013 CRAWFISH BOIL

The LSU Alumni Assocation Dallas Chapter is pleased to announce our 34th Annual Crawfish Boil & Dance. This is THE most anticipated event of the year. Come join us on Saturday April 13, 2013 at the Double D Ranch in Mesquite, Texas.

The LSU Alumni Association Dallas Chapter is always working to make our annual crawfish boil bigger and better. We have grown from a very small event (30 members the first year) to last years event which was enjoyed by over 800 in attendance. This year, we have made some changes that you, our members, have requested. You asked, we listened !!

We want people to be able to mix and mingle, eat and drink all afternoon long plus have plenty of things to do. This year we feature an expanded menu and additional activities where people can meet other alums and friends of LSU. By offering various food options you will be able to pick and choose what you want when you want it.

Each vendor will provide approximately 300 appetizer-sized servings of their food item for you to select from. When they complete their servings, that item will be gone for the day.

Don't worry - we will still have lots of big, juicy Louisiana crawfish !! This year they are expecting it to be a good crawfish season. There will be deep water and spillway crawfish which are sweeter and bigger. Let's hear it ... YUMMY !!

When: Saturday, April 13 | Gates open at 2:00pm - The fantastic food service begins at 3:00pm

Food Items

As stated, there will be additional food choices for you to select if you wish to sample other Cajun food items besides (or in additon to) crawfish. When you place your ticket order, you will be asked to pick one of these options:

Our sponsors will be providing lots of food. If you select Option 2 or 3, you can redeem your tickets at any food vendor. If you want to have all of one item, that is fine. We want all of you to be able to start eating at 3:00pm and be able to graze all afternoon. This will help avoid long lines and get everyone to mingle and meet other guests.

Activities

We have added additional activities for all to enjoy:

• Bounce House for the kids
• Football Toss - Big Game (a local company that makes all the game balls for LSU and other colleges and NFL teams) will be handling the football toss. All can participate. We will also have brackets set up for SEC groups.

We need your help to defray some of the costs of the event. If you or your company can sponsor any of these activities it would be greatly appreciated.

Sponsorship Benefits

1. Your sponsorship may be tax-deductible, as we are a 501c3 organization.
2. Your name will be displayed as sponsoring the event.
3. Your name will be listed as a sponsor on our website plus you will receive the benefits of each different level of your contribution. "In Kind" donations are considererd if they help defray the cost of the event. Donations to the Silent Auction are not considered "In Kind" but they can be tax-deductible.

Volunteers Needed

We can use as much or as little time as you have to offer. The crawfish boil keepts getting bigger and better every year. Last year - we fed over 800 hungry people! For things to continue smoothly, we need your help.

It can be for advance preparation, the day of the boil for an hour or any time that you can spare. We love new people to share ideas as well as helping out. It is more fun than work! We get to know our fellow alums much better. You do not have to be a member to help out. If you have a friend that you would like to bring along, please do.
