LSU vs. Alabama
Halloween is past and it's time for our Tigers to roar! Bama come calling this Saturday in Tiger Stadium with a 2:30 PM kick off. Plan to make your home away from home at our watch locations if you're not in Baton Rouge. Feel the spirit along with other rabid LSU faithful and cheer us on to a BCS Bowl. This is the most important month in the schedule and we need your support! Come join with us.
Thanks to all of you who helped us accomplish our 2010 goal in less than 10 months. In January we announced that our chapter's goal was to contribute $20K to LSUAA scholarships in 2010. And thanks to you, we have accomplished that goal already. In addition, we have set a personal high in paid memberships in a calendar year when Paul and Kathy Scioneaux helped us achieve our 400th members in our Dallas Chapter. As of this week, we have 417 members who have supported our chapter by putting their money where their mouth is- by paying their annual dues!
Let's set a higher standard. With 2 months left and since your membership is now 12 months from the anniversary month, let's raise the bar to 500 members in 2010! If you were an active member in 2009, you have received a request for your renewal for this year and many of you have already responded. And we appreciate you! If you have not done so yet, please help us generate even more funds for LSUAA Scholarships by going on line and renewing your past memberships. If you've never been an active member of our Dallas Chapter but have the same passion for LSU that we all share, we'll welcome you with open arms. Join today! It's never too late and you couldn't assist a more worthy cause than the next generation's education. And where better than LSU, a Tier 1 University.
As of this week, we have 165 new members and combined with our existing members, have contributed $7000 to Scholarships for DFW students. Can we count on you to be part of the largest chapter in Dallas history as we continue to establish Dallas as the fastest growing LSU Alumni Chapter outside the State of Louisiana? We certainly hope so.
As we end the last full month of our football season, let's make this Sponsor Appreciation Month. When you are at our watch parties or in one of our sponsor's stores or showrooms, take the time to tell them how much you appreciate their desire to help us to help others. Without them, much of what we have accomplished in such a short time would not have been possible. And remember, watch locations are important to our fall success so be gracious in your praise to them and tell them how much we appreciate what they are doing for us weekly.
