LSU vs. Tennessee
There is no such thing as a bad win! Some are prettier than others and Saturday's win wouldn't win any beauty contests! But when your defense holds as potent an offense as West Virginia as they did, we can only look forward to the day that our offense follows suit. Even a potential Heisman's pose couldn't be ignored. (Anyone remember a defensive back named Woodson from Michigan? He has a Heisman on his mantle- stranger things have happened!)
The crowds are increasing and new fans are discovering our 5 watch locations. Our website has maps to all five locations so take the short drive from your home, invite your friends and family and come be a part of our LSU watching experiences. This Saturday's game against Tennessee has a 2:30 PM kick off and if you're not planning to be in Death Valley on Saturday, come be a part of the next best thing- our watch parties! And this week our game will start at it's scheduled time.
Ever wonder why we encourage you to become an active member of our Dallas Chapter? Part of it is because of the advantage that it affords you as a member for watch parties and Crawfish Boil. And thanks to you we have contributed this year over $5800 to LSUAA Scholarships through membership dues alone.
Have you heard of the Legacy Scholarship which pays 75% of out of state tuition for children of alumni who live outside the state of LA? Were you aware that it had been discontinued for incoming Fall 2010 freshmen? And that more scholarships are dependent on private contributions? Or that a budgetary shortfall at LSU could affect it's Tier 1 status as well as staff? One of the reasons why we became a certified non-profit organization was to allow all of us the opportunity to make charitable contributions through our Dallas chapter. With the end of year approaching, we hope that you'll support us with your membership and any additional contributions for scholarships that you can. The next time someone asks you to join or renew, remember that we're doing it for you and the future of LSU, not our chapter. Won't you become an active member? You'll be glad you did!
