LSU vs. Vanderbilt
Just when you thought it was safe to get back in the water....... The Kardiac Kids are Back!!!!! The best description that I read about Saturday night's game was that our mistakes were correctible! And lord only knows we hope so. Let's move forward and assume that our Tigers will play for a full 60 minutes like they did the first 30 Saturday night. And when that occurs, we'll all enjoy the fact that we stuck by them through peaks and valleys (you know, like Saturday night.)
Regardless, we had a great turnout at all 4 locations. For those of you who are new to the area, in 2006 we had only one location. We have grown to 4 locations stretching from downtown to Frisco. You can find the locations on our website. Locate a watch party near you and come be a part of our rabid crew. You'll be welcomed with open arms and made to feel like you were one seat removed from being in Death Valley. Let's keep our crowds growing and thanks for the 55 memberships that were purchased on Saturday night. If your membership has expired or is expiring this month, you can renew online through PayPal or at our watch locations weekly. We appreciate your support as we get closer to reaching our goal of $20K in Scholarships in 2010!
Vandy looms as a dangerous host this coming Saturday night with a 6 PM kickoff. So plan to be at one of our watch locations by 5 PM for good seats. Take advantage of your Dallas membership discounts at each location for our Dallas chapter members. And if you like the fact that we have broadened our reach with watch locations, watch for an announcement in the next few weeks of another addition to our family of venues. We try to make it easier for alums and fans to gather throughout the Dallas area to watch games together and build new and lasting friendships. Be a part. Come on out! You'll be glad you did.
High School Recruitment Week begins next Monday, Sept. 13th and runs through the month of Sept. If you would like to be a part of helping to introduce more DFW students to the experience of the LSU campus, contact Linda Young at scholarship@lsualumnidallas.

Now that we are receiving 2011 calendars in the mail, it's not too early to circle 2 of the most important dates in 2011- Saturday, April 2nd is our 32nd Annual Crawfish Boil and just officially announced, the 2011 LSU season will kick off on Saturday, Sept 3rd against Oregon at, you guessed it, Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. Make plans for the largest tailgate party that this section of the SW has ever seen!!!
Lastly, the Arthritis Association of Louisiana is raffling off 4 season tickets valued at $2500. You can read about the drawing which will take place Friday, Sept. 10th at www.aaola.com. Help fight arthritis and win LSU season tickets- a win-win for all of us.
In golf, you can't par all the holes without paring the first one. In football, you can't go undefeated without winning the opener. Just ask Ole Miss!
