LSU's Home Opener
Our Home Opener & a New Venue This Week. Straight off the heels of our 1st conference victory over Vanderbilt, our Tigers welcome Mississippi Sate to Death Valley. And the stands will be rockin' for this sellout. If you are like most of us who fail to have tickets, come to our 5 watch party locations in the Dallas area.
That's right- FIVE. This week we open our 5th location at Cool River Café in Las Colinas at 1045 Hidden Ridge, at the corner of Hidden Ridge and MacArthur. What better way to open a new location than with our home opener. With a 6 PM kick off Saturday, plan to get there by 5 PM as we have a room that will be predominately LSU's. So if you live in the western part of our watch zone, come help us establish this as your new home away from home for LSU activities. I'll be looking for you!
This week also begins our High School Recruitment season and Linda Young wants to thank all who have volunteered to assist at select schools. Your assistance has made recruiting as successful as it is.
Thanks to those of you who have joined or renewed your membership as we are approaching our goal of $20K in Scholarship donations in 2010. The future for Dallas/Fort Worth students at LSU looks bright and your support has a great deal to do with it. If your membership has expired or is about to expire, you can do it on line on our website or at all 5 watch party locations. You keep our chapter growing and we keep increasing our scholarship funds. A win-win-thanks!
Don't forget about our SEC Mixer this Thursday. This month's mixer will be hosted by Mississippi State held at Sherlocks at Park & 75 - one of our own watch party locations! Wear your purple and gold and let's show the Dawgs who's the best!
Lastly, the Granada Theater has a number of performances lined up in the oming weeks with New Orleans' based bands. Rebirth Brass Band on 9/15, Cowboy Mouth on 9/17, Papa Grows Funk on 9/23, and Galactic on 10/30.
Cya at the watch parties and thank our hosts for their accommodations for our members. Geaux Tigers!
