New Chapter Year!
Thanks for making our 2010 Crawfish Boil the most successful in our chapter's history! To our many loyal sponsors who contributed greatly, we can't thank you enough! To those who purchased individual as well as group tickets, bid on the silent and live auction items, joined or renewed your membership, purchased Texas Tiger Tees or volunteered your time to help make the festivities even smoother, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
We raised $15,000 in one day which is the most ever and that, along with the $10K that we have in our 4th Top 100 Scholarship, gives us $25K of our $40K requirement. Someone questioned why we didn't send money to Forever LSU so we inquired. It seems that whatever we as individuals as well as our Dallas Chapter contributes to LSU through LSUAA or individual colleges, it ALL goes toward Forever LSU! So when you attend our Crawfish Boil, you are supporting Forever LSU with your purchases. When you join our Dallas Chapter, your memberships help Forever LSU. (For the record, in the last fiscal year, $6500 of our membership dues went to fund scholarships.) When you purchase our Texas Tiger Tees, you are helping Forever LSU. (And they are being closed out at $15. You can order by clicking on the Texas Tiger icon and select your size. Hurry because there are less than 100 left and some sizes are not available.)
Granada Theater has two outstanding shows on Saturday 5/1. Click on the Granada icon on our website for a complete schedule of upcoming acts. Remember, LSU Alumni members can buy tickets without service charges when you buy on line and use the code "ALUMNI" or by presenting your membership card at the Granada Theater box office. Check their schedule regularly and support our sponsors with your patronage.
In closing, our fiscal year ended 4/30/10 and we'll have an end of year summary in the next update. But also on that date, your 2009-2010 memberships expired.
